MONROE — On June 10:

●  Cherie L. Lafave Hughes, 57, Monroe, was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash reported at 12:39 a.m. in the N7100 block of County N, Town of Washington. She was northbound when she failed to negotiate a curve and entered the ditch. The vehicle collided with a culvert and became airborne, then overturned and came to rest on its roof. She was extricated by deputies and taken by Green County EMS to the Monroe Clinic ER, then later transported by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. Her vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed. The Monticello Fire Department assisted deputies on scene. Lafave Hughes was cited for first-offense operating while under the influence of alcohol and failure to keep a vehicle under control.
