Green County Sheriff
MONROE — A single-vehicle crash was reported at 7:46 p.m. June 26 in the N4200 block of Skinner Hollow Road, Town of Jordan. The driver fled prior to police arrival. Investigation revealed the vehicle was traveling south when the driver lost control negotiating a curve and hit a guardrail. The vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed. The crash remains under investigation.
● No injuries were reported from a pickup vs. parked car crash at 12:50 a.m. June 27 in the 100 block of West Main Street in Albany. Tyler J. Dahl, 23, Albany, was westbound when his vehicle sustained a mechanical issue. He exited the roadway and hit a legally and unoccupied parked car. His pickup and the parked car sustained disabling damage. Both vehicles were left on scene.
● No injuries were reported from a tractor accident at 9:04 a.m. June 28 in the N6400 block of Wis. 69, Town of Washington. Nolan Kicmol, 21, was operating the IOH southbound when it sustained a mechanical malfunction causing it to exit the roadway through a guardrail and down an embankment coming to rest in a corn field.
● No injuries were reported from a single-vehicle crash at 11:31 a.m. June 29 in the W7100 block of Wis. 81, Town of Monroe. Ethan N. Coppes, 18, Monroe, was traveling east when he entered the south shoulder and lost control of his vehicle. He entered the ditch, hit a power pole, broke a barbed-wire fence and came to rest in a cornfield. His vehicle sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment. It was towed. He was cited for failure to keep vehicle under control. Alliant Energy repaired broken power pole and downed power lines.
On July 3:
● No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash at 10:25 a.m. on County E and Atkinson Road, Town of Albany. Gary W. Koeberl, 54, Janesville, was northbound when his vehicle was hit by a vehicle that entered the roadway from Atkinson Rd. Operated by Sabrina C. Coonen, 23, Madison. Both vehicles sustained functional damage. Coonen was cited for failure to yield right of way.
● No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash at 10:26 a.m. on Wis. 39 and County J, Town of York. Ashley A. Gille, 36, Monroe, was northbound on County J and stopped at stop sign. She proceeded to enter intersection when she collided with a vehicle traveling east on Wis. 39 operated by Paul D. Lysne, 77, Franklin, Tennessee. Gille’s vehicle sustained disabling damage. Lysne’s vehicle sustained functional damage. Gille was cited for failure to yield right of way from a stop sign.
● Non-life threatening injuries were reported from a single-vehicle crash at 4:17 p.m. July 4 in the N7600 block of County N, Town of New Glarus. Allyson C. Meyers, 17, Darlington, was southbound when she swerved to avoid a northbound vehicle that crossed into the southbound lane and entered the west ditch. Her vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed. The northbound vehicle was not located.

On June 22:
● Jeffrey L. Goecks, 56, Blanchardville, reported hitting a deer at 10:35 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle. His 2003 Chevrolet sustained minor damage. It was towed.
● Deputies responded for a two-vehicle accident at 1:49 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Blanchard. Amanda A. Braun, 28, Sparta, was attempting to turn around when she was hit by a 2018 Kenworth semi owned by Larse Trucking LLC, Monroe. Both vehicles were severely damaged. They were towed. Blanchardville Fire, Blanchardville EMS, Argyle Fire, Argyle EMS and Green County EMS assisted.
● No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle rollover at 4:25 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. Alex P. Ruppert, 22, Iowa City, Iowa, was northbound when the trailer he was pulling started to fishtail and unhooked from the truck. The truck exited the roadway and overturned. His 1994 Ford sustained severe damage. It was towed. Belmont EMS and Belmont Fire assisted.
● Jake J. Jansen, 44, Melbourne, Iowa, reported hitting a cow at 2:39 a.m. June 23 on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour. His 2018 Peterbuilt sustained moderate damage.
● A one-vehicle accident was reported at 5:51 a.m. June 27 on Dublin Road, Town of Darlington. A deputy located an unoccupied 2012 Chevrolet owned by Tasha L. Gallagher, 54, and Patrick W. Boyle, 51, both of Darlington. The vehicle was towed. This accident remains under investigation.
On June 28:
● Debra M. Meis, 61, Platteville, reported hitting a deer at 5:10 a.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont. Her 2014 Chevrolet sustained moderate damage.
● Colt D. Woods, 27, Platteville, reported hitting a deer at 5:41 a.m. on County G, Town of Belmont. His 2005 Dodge sustained moderate damage.
● Audrie E. Gander, 18, Mineral Point, reported hitting a deer at 7:46 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs. Her 2007 Chrysler sustained moderate damage.
● Donna M. Hendrickson-Bondele, 75, Gratiot, reported hitting a deer at 2:50 p.m. on Riverside Road, Town of Gratiot. Her 2017 Chevrolet sustained moderate damage.
