William F. "Billy" Bittner, age 67 of Monroe, formerly of Juda, died Friday, November 19, 2010 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital.
Bill was born January 9, 1943 in Monroe, the son of William K. and Ruth (Lueck) Bittner. He graduated from Monticello High School in 1961. Bill and Patricia Pinnow were married March 28, 1965 in Juda. He worked for Zimmerman Cheese in Monroe and Green County Farm Bureau. Bill and Pat farmed in Sylvester Township until October, 1998. He has been a resident of Pleasant View since January, 2006.
Bill was a former member of the Juda Baptist Church and loved flower gardening, animals, and talking with people.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Bittner; two children, Angela Bittner (fiance Kevin Berryhill) and Chester Bittner, all of Juda; a brother, Fred Bittner of Monroe; and three sisters, Laurie (Brian) Williams of Mukwonago, WI Lu-Jean (Jerry) Albright of Monroe, and Lonna Coplien of Brodhead. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lollie Bittner in 1961; and his pet Labrador, Doogie.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 22, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Juda, with Rev. Thomas Miller officiating. A memorial fund will be established in William's name.
