Wesley D. Brown age 69 of Monroe, died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Agrace Hospice in Madison. He was born on April 5, 1945 in Dixon, Illinois; the son of Robert and Evelyn (McNeil) Brown. He graduated from Leaf River High School and received his B.S. from the U.W. Platteville. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era for over 3 years. Wesley married Brenda Peterson on May 2, 1981 in Rockford, IL. Wesley was a computer application engineer. He enjoyed woodworking, animals, car shows and tractor pulls.
He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Brown of Monroe; a son, Brandon Brown of Green Bay; a daughter, Sara Brown of Green Bay; 5 sisters: Linda (Dan) Duncan of Davis, IL, Brenda (Vance) Miller of Monroe, Dana (Tom Mulford) Hanson of Middleton, Renee (Ron) Alexander of Alexandria, VA and Denise (Dennis) Becker of Winnebago, IL; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert and step-son, Jason Peterson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Shriner Hager Gohlke funeral home, with Pastor Jesse Larson officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will be in Lightsville Cemetery in Lightsville, Illinois.
