BRODHEAD - Wesley A. Stewart, age 55, of rural Brodhead, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 21, 2011 at Mercy Hospital, Janesville. He was born on April 30, 1955 in Monroe, WI, the son of Donald Lee and Elaine (Kundert) Stewart.

Wesley had worked on the family farm. He enjoyed riding his lawnmower, 4 wheeling, riding his bike in to town, attending auctions and putting puzzles together. He was an avid Badger, Brewer, and Green Bay Packer fan.

Wesley is survived by his mother Elaine, five brothers, Phillip (Rhonda) Stewart, Monroe, Gregory Stewart, James (Sandy) Stewart, both of Brodhead, Michael (JoAnn) Stewart, Browntown, Kenneth (Barbara) Stewart, Middletown, RI, four sisters, Karen (Nathan) Strahm, Monticello, WI, Shirley Nolty, Janesville, Cindy(Terry) Koebernick, Overland Park, KS, Lisa (Eugene) Vegter, Sharon, WI, 24 nieces and nephews, and 15 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Amy Jo.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, with Pastor Wendy Slaback officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
