Victor A. Svendsen, age 82, of Argyle, died on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at

the Harbor House in Monroe.

He was born on June 7, 1925 in Freeport, Illinois, the son of John P. and

Gladys (Landon) Svendsen and he attended Orangeville and Browntown area

schools.

Victor married Lorraine Friedli on October 14, 1946 in Monroe and he later

married Donna Christen Mueller on October 20, 1980 in Monroe. Victor farmed

in Clarno and Adams Townships, was a dealer for Dairyland Seeds and Archer

Oil, was a charter member of the NFO and Ag-Price, enjoyed bowling,

fast-pitch softball, horseshoes, playing cards and gardening. Victor was a

former member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #754 and Adams and Cornerstone

Lutheran Churches.

Surviving are his wife, Donna Svendsen of Monroe; children, Vicki (Jim)

Banovsky of Cambridge, WI, David Svendsen of Monticello, WI, Diana (Tom)

Bonk of Sunset Beach, NC, John Svendsen of Argyle, WI, Mark (Lila) Svendsen

of Monticello, WI, and Lori (John Wuethrich) Voegeli of Monroe, WI; three

step-daughters, Kathy, Rhonda and Chris; brother, Don (Stella) Svendsen of

Browntown, WI; sisters, Audrey Segner of Monroe, WI, Alice (Jim) Clouse of

Tupelo, MS, Doris (Clem) Brabender of Gurnee, IL and Elsie (Mac) McGath of

Tupelo, MS; sister-in-law, Ruth Svendsen of Winthrop Harbor, IL;

grandchildren, Jamie (Keelie) Stenulson, Brandi (Steve) Lefeber, Bobbi

(Keith) Blum, Brady (Kristi) Blum, Brittany (Pete Jordan) Blum, Daniel

Svendsen, Scott (April) Svendsen, Jason Svendsen, Justin (Macy) Svendsen,

Christopher Fawcett, Danielle Fawcett, Stephanie (Jeff Cook) Svendsen,

Melissa Svendsen, Chad (Brittany Brooks) Svendsen, Jessica (Jim) Riese,

Roseanna Hay, and Dustin Voegeli; 19 great-grandchildren; and several

step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Victor was predeceased by his

parents; sister, Betty Svendsen; brothers, Wesley and John Svendsen; and

granddaughter, Corina Burton.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at

CORNERSTONE LUTHERAN CHURCH at Argyle, WI with Rev. Cal Schaver officiating.

Burial will be in Saucerman Cemetery in Cadiz Township.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at

the church.

A memorial fund is being established in Victor¹s memory.

Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
