Two car accident with roll over near Argyle leaves two injured

TOWN OF ADAMS - Injuries were reported during an accident at 6:33 p.m. Saturday on Wis. 81, at Rat Hollow Road, in the Town of Adams. Reports indicate that John J. Page, 16, New Glarus, was westbound on Wis. 81 and slowed to make a right turn onto Rat Hollow Road.

As Page slowed near the intersection to turn, a second vehicle driven by Chrystal J. Pence, 33, of Argyle, was also westbound on Wis. 81. According to police reports, she saw Page's blinker but failed to slow down. To avoid a collision, Pence entered the north gravel shoulder, passing Page's vehicle on the right, then returned to the roadway in front of Page's vehicle.

Pence continued across both east and westbound lanes of Wis. 81 and entered the south ditch, traveling down into the ditch and rolling over once, landing on its wheels.

Page was uninjured. The passengers in his vehicle, John J. L. Williams; 16; Eric M. Badula, 16; and River J. Lee, 16, all of New Glarus, were wearing their seat belts and were uninjured.

Pence was wearing her seat belt and suffered an injury. The passenger in Pence's vehicle, Brytnee K. Pence, 9, Argyle, was wearing a seat belt and received an injury. Chrystal Pence and Brytnee Pence declined medical treatment at the scene.

Pence's vehicle received moderate damage to all areas and was removed from the scene by Pence.

Chrystal Pence was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and inattentive driving. Page was cited for a graduated driver's license violation. Both Pence and Page were released.
