Green County Sheriff

MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 5:45 a.m. Sunday on Ten Eyck Road west of Brodhead in Decatur township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Nicholas R. Schliem, 16, Brodhead, left the road, went into a ditch and hit an embankment after Schliem fell asleep. He was taken to the Monroe Clinic Hospital by Brodhead Emergency Medical Services. Schliem will be cited for inattentive driving. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

Jimmy Walls, 40, Stoughton, was cited for driving with a suspended license, failure to notify police of an accident, non-registration of a vehicle, driving without insurance and failure to maintain control of a vehicle Friday following an investigation into a one-vehicle accident that took place at about 7:15 p.m. Oct. 9 on Wisconsin 59 near Suburban Road in Albany township. Deputies report Walls' vehicle left the road, went down an embankment and rolled onto its side. Walls left the scene of the crash.

No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 11:15 a.m. Friday on County B near Steiner Road in Cadiz township. Deputies report a tractor driven by Wayne D. Miller, 57, Monroe, was turning left when it was hit by a vehicle driven by Erick C. Gassman, 43, Browntown. The vehicles received moderate damage.

A vehicle driven by Gregory K. Krahenbuhl, 56, South Wayne, collided with a deer at about 12:15 a.m. Sunday on Wis. 69 near Hill Lane in Monroe township. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.

A vehicle driven by Mark C. Grandstrand, 65, Freeport, collided with a vehicle at about 11:15 a.m. Sunday on Wis. 69 near County H in New Glarus township. The vehicle received moderate damage.

A vehicle driven by Richard J. Schulte, 51, Monroe, collided with a deer at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday in the N200 block of Shueyville Road in Clarno township. The vehicle received minor damage.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Four people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 11:30 a.m. Saturday on Wis. 11 in Gratiot township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Renee K. Buisker, 54, South Wayne, rear-ended a vehicle driven by James W. Hoshaw, 52, Roscoe, Ill. Buisker and three passengers in Horshaw's vehicle, Loren R. Chadwick, 74, and Margaret Ann Chadwick, 69, both of Machesney Park, Ill., and Elizabeth L. Hoshaw, 49, Roscoe, Ill., were taken to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County by Rural Medical Ambulance. Gratiot Fire Department and First Response assisted at the scene.

One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 2 a.m. Sunday on Meier Road at the Wis. 11 intersection. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Nancy L. Pfaff, 43, Gratiot, failed to stop at a stop sign, skidded across the road and hit an embankment. She sustained minor injuries. Her vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.

One person was injured in an all-terrain vehicle accident that was reported at about 1:45 p.m. Saturday. Deputies report Linda M. Bauer, 59, Kenosha, lost control of the ATV she was driving and sustained a leg injury She was taken to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County by Rural Medical Ambulance.

No one was injured in a three-vehicle accident at about 8 a.m. Friday in a parking lot on Penn Street in Benton. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Gildel Beltran Pedraza, 30, Monroe, hit two legally parked vehicles and then left the scene. He was cited for driving without a license, unsafe backing, failure to notify police of an accident and driving without insurance.

No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 1 p.m. Sunday on Pleasant Driver Road in Wiota township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Travis L. Hagen, 38, South Wayne, crested a hill and hit a farm tractor pulling a piece of equipment driven by James H. Mau, 59, South Wayne. Hagen's vehicle and the farm machinery received extensive damage.

n No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 6 p.m. Sunday on Wis. 11 in South Wayne. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Michael B. Freese, 41, Stockton, Ill., was hit by a vehicle driven by Harold Seffrood, 79, Gratiot. Seffrood was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign. The vehicles received moderate damage.

Deputies along with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) responded to an oil spill at about 2:45 p.m. Friday on Wis. 23 at the County E intersection. Deputies report George C. Hubbard, 55, Darlington, was transporting about 100 gallons of used motor oil on the back of his truck. The oil spilled as the vehicle pulled away from a stop sign. The DNR is investigating.

A vehicle driven by Heidi A. Johnson, 42, Darlington, collided with a deer at about 6:45 a.m. Friday on Truman Road in Kendall township. The vehicle received moderate damage.

n A vehicle driven by JamiR. Hocking, 25, Shullsburg, collided with a deer at about 8:30 p.m. Friday on County O in Seymour township. The vehicle received moderate damage.

A vehicle driven by Emma J. Berget, 18, Darlington, collided with a deer at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday on County Shop Road in Darlington township.

n A vehicle driven by Dennis L. Larson, 56, South Wayne, collided with a deer at about 8 a.m. Saturday on County D in Wayne township.
