Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at about 4:45 p.m. Tuesday in the N4300 block of Golf Course Road, Town of Decatur. Deputies report Lanny M. Ross, Jr., 38, Brodhead, was driving north on Golf Course Road, near the Sugar River Bike Trail, and a second vehicle driven by Richard D. Rosman, 59, Brodhead, was driving south. Ross and Rosman sideswiped each other as they met. Ross's vehicle received minor front driver side damage and Rosman's vehicle received moderate driver's side door and quarter panel damage. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - One person reported non-life threatening injuries in a one-vehicle accident at about 12:15 a.m. Tuesday on Wisconsin 81 in the Town of Argyle. Deputies report Kelly M. Wire, 39, Argyle, was westbound, lost control of the vehicle on the slippery roadway and struck a guard rail. The vehicle came to rest in the ditch. Wire was taken by private vehicle for treatment of injuries from the accident. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed from the scene. The crash remains under investigation.

A deputy responded at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to a hit-and-run accident on Mitchell Hollow Road in the Town of Belmont. Deputies report a truck pulling a trailer loaded with hay had attempted to climb an icy driveway. The truck slid backwards out of the driveway, crossed the road and struck a telephone junction box in the opposite ditch. The accident was discovered by CenturyLink Telephone repairmen after they were called to the area for several hundred residents without phone service. The accident remains under investigation.

A deputy responded at about 6 p.m. Tuesday to S. Lafayette Street in Argyle to assist Argyle police with a hit-and-run traffic accident investigation. No other details were available.
