MONROE - On Monday:

• No injuries were reported at 11:55 a.m. after Jeffrey M. Girard, 32, Elk Point, South Dakota, became distracted while driving a semi-truck and left the road on Wisconsin 11, Town of Cadiz. The truck entered a ditch and struck a stop sign, several posts and a road sign before striking an embankment and overturning. Girard was cited for inattentive driving. The truck and trailer sustained severe damage and were towed from the scene. The fire departments of Browntown, South Wayne and Monroe worked with the Green County Highway Department to provide traffic control and removed the contents of the trailer. Wis. 11 was temporarily diverted while the vehicle was removed.

• A driver was injured at 4:08 p.m. after Samantha L. Keene, 17, Argyle, lost control of her vehicle and struck a guardrail in the W7800 block of County Y, Town of Jordan. Keene was transported to a local hospital for her injuries and was cited for failing to maintain control of her vehicle. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
