Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 8 p.m. Monday on Wisconsin 69 near County P in the Town of Clarno. Deputies report James L. Hurlbert, 48, Monroe, was southbound on Wis. 69 when he slowed and stopped to wait for the northbound traffic to go by before turning east onto County P. A car driven by Jacob A. Youtzy, 80, Winslow, Ill., rear-ended the vehicle driven by Hurlbert. The Youtzy vehicle received severe damage and was towed from the scene. Hurlbert's vehicle received minor damage and was driven from the scene.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Two people were injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 10:15 p.m. Monday on County J in Benton township. Deputies report Daniel R. Koeller, 17, Cuba City, was northbound when he failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle traveled off the roadway and into a ditch where it stuck breaker rock. Koeller and passenger Christopher P. Otting, 20, Potosi, reported minor injuries, but refused medical transport. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Cuba City Police Department assisted at the scene.
