MONROE - On Monday, Oct. 7:
Three people were taken by ambulance to the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison for treatment of non-life threatening injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash reported at 5:10 p.m. in Exeter Township. Dean R. Luchsinger, 52, Belleville, was southbound on Wisconsin 92, stopped in traffic while waiting to turn onto Daytonwood Road, when he was rearended by Benjamin C. Cann, 16, Belleville. Luchsinger and his passenger Sandra L. Luchsinger, 50, Belleville, were both injured and transported by EMS. Cann was also injured and transported by EMS. Cann will be cited for driving too fast for conditions. Both vehicles were severely damaged and towed. Assisting at the scene were the Belleville Fire Department, Belleville police, Belleville EMS and Fitchrona Paramedics.

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident on Walnut Road in Wiota Township at 2:54 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7. Craig A. Jorgenson, 57, South Wayne, was westbound when he was unable to avoid striking a low-lying power line. The line was hanging low because a landowner was doing landscaping in the area. The semi-tractor Jorgenson was driving sustained minor damage.
A deputy responded at 7:57 p.m. to Meier Road in Wayne Township to assist the Department of Natural Resources with tagging a deer that had been struck by an unknown vehicle.
