Green County Sheriff

MONROE - A vehicle vs. power pole crash was reported at 7:41 p.m. Friday in the W4300 block of County KS, Town of Jefferson. A person at the scene reported that the male driver fled on foot. He has not yet been located. The vehicle was westbound when the driver lost control on a curve and swerved into the ditch. The vehicle struck a power pole. The airbag deployed. The vehicle sustained severe front-end damage and was towed. Monroe police, Green County EMS and the Monroe and Juda Fire Departments also responded to the accident. The Monroe Police Department K-9 assisted on scene.

• Brian J. Zehren, 40, Verona, reported a deer vs. vehicle crash Sunday in the N5200 block of Wisconsin 69.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• Shullsburg EMS, the Shullsburg Fire Department, Rural Medical Ambulance Service and Shullsburg police assisted deputies at 10:55 a.m. with a two-vehicle accident on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg. William L. Heibner, 77, Monroe, was westbound when a 2003 Ford driven by Harry G. Blackbourn, 58, Shullsburg, turned left and hit Heibner's 2003 Honda. The vehicles sustained moderate damage and were towed. Blackbourn was cited for failure to yield while making a left turn.

• Carol Ohms, 78, Scales Mound, Illinois, reported at 1:31 p.m. that she hit a deer on County O, Town of White Oak Springs. No injuries were reported. Ohms' 2015 Jeep sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• Steven E. Walker, 63, Shullsburg, reported at 9:07 p.m. that he hit a deer on County G, Town of Belmont. No injuries were reported. Walker's 2004 Chevrolet sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

On Saturday:

• Tracy J. Butson, 40, Mineral Point, reported at 10:37 p.m. that she hit a cow on County D, Town of Fayette. No injuries were reported. Butson's 1991 GMC sustained moderate damage and was towed.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident in the 400 block of 2nd Street at 8:40 p.m. Wednesday. A Ford Expedition was backing up when it side-swiped a legally parked Ford F150. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident in the 100 block of 4th Avenue at 12:40 p.m. Saturday. A Chevy pickup was backing up when it backed into a legally parked Dodge Durango. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
