BRODHEAD - On Friday:

• A traffic crash was reported at 9:13 p.m. in the 100 block of 1st Street. This matter remains under investigation.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• No injuries were reported after Eric C. Beisbier, 46, Reedsburg, struck a deer at 11:53 p.m. on Wis. 78 in Argyle Township. The 2006 Chevrolet had moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported after Mark K. Douglas, 57, Monroe, struck a deer at 12:28 a.m. on Wis. 11 in Benton Township. The 2017 Ram had moderate damage and was driven from the scene.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - On Oct. 9:

• A vehicle versus deer crash was reported at 8:18 p.m. on County W near Elmer Road, which investigation found occurred in the W5200 block of County W. The matter was turned over to the Green County Sheriff.

On Thursday:

• New Glarus Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Office at 8:05 a.m. with a one-vehicle accident in the N9600 block Wis. 69.

MONROE - On Friday:

• No injuries were reported at 9:15 a.m. at Wis. 104 and Wis. 11 in the Town of Decatur after David K. Gallman, 53, Evansville was struck by James W. Burchard, 55, Brodhead, who failed to stop his truck at a stop sign. Burchard was arrested for a fourth offense of operating under the influence of alcohol and cited for driving while revoked and failure to stop at a stop sign. He was jailed pending court. Brodhead Police Department and Brodhead EMS assisted at the scene.

On Saturday:

• No injuries were reported at 6:35 a.m. at the intersection of County FF and Ladwig Road in the Town of Sylvester after Aaron L. Lemon, 21, Beloit, reported his vehicle began to hydroplane, he lost control and struck an embankment. He was wearing his seatbelt and airbags deployed. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

On Monday:

• Robert M. Cole struck a deer in the W6400 block of Wis. 11 in the Town of Monroe.

• Daryl L. Meighan struck a deer in the N2100 block of Wis. 69 in the Town of Clarno.

MONROE - On Monday:

• Korene K. Olson, 63, Monroe, was cited for unsafe backing of a vehicle at 4:23 p.m. on the Monroe square. The two-vehicle crash caused moderate damage to both vehicles.
