MONROE - Injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident at 5:34 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22. Reports say James W. Wellenhausen, 24, Browntown, was driving in the W9500 block of County MM in the Town of Cadiz when he lost control of his vehicle due to loose gravel on the road as he was negotiating a curve. The vehicle went into the ditch where it rolled onto its side, coming to a rest against a power pole. The driver sustained injuries and Wellenhausen was transported to Monroe Clinic ER by Green County EMS. The vehicle received severe damage and was towed from the scene. The Browntown Fire Department also assisted at the scene.

• Injuries were reported in a car vs. tractor collision at 5:43 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22 in the W600 block of Decatur Road in the Town of Decatur. Reports say Richard C. Badertscher, 74, rural Brodhead, was driving a vehicle eastbound on Decatur Road east of Park Road when he collided with a westbound farm tractor driven Curtis J. Jones, 64, rural Brodhead. The tractor Jones was driving is equipped with dual rear wheels and was pulling two empty gravity boxes. The lights on the tractor were not operational. Steven J. Bowdish, 60, Monroe, was driving his truck with the emergency flashers on in front of Curtis due to the defective lights. Badertscher passed Bowdish and collided with the left dual wheel of the tractor. Badertscher was not injured in the collision. His vehicle sustained severe damage to the front and was removed from the scene. Jones received injuries; he refused medical treatment but was later taken to the Monroe Clinic ER by private vehicle. The tractor received severe damage to the left side. One of the gravity boxes received severe damage, and the other had moderate damage. An implement dealer removed the tractor and the gravity boxes.

• No injuries were reported in a car vs. deer accident on Wis. 69 north of Gutzmer Road in Mount Pleasant Township at 6:36 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22. Reports say Paul W. Mudgett, 52, of Monticello was southbound on when he struck a passing deer. The collision caused moderate damage to the vehicle.

• No injuries were reported in a car vs. deer accident on Wis. 60 in the Town of New Glarus at 7:22 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22. Reports say a vehicle driven by David F. Brown, Madison, 44, was southbound in the N7400 block of Wis. 69 when he struck a deer. The vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
