Monroe Police

MONROE - Injuries were reported during a one-vehicle and bicyclist accident at 9:42 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of 14th Street and 14th Avenue. Reports indicate that David W. Moon, 56, Monroe, hit a bicycle ridden by Brian J. Stackpole, 64, Monroe. Stackpole was transported by Green County Emergency Medical Service for non-life threatening injuries. Moon was cited for failing to yield right of way.

New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Officers took a report of a hit-and-run accident at 10:59 a.m. Nov. 14 at Roy's Market. Reports indicate that a silver Dodge Dakota truck was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene. A possible suspect vehicle is a 94-96 Ford F-250 truck with an orange plow on the truck. Anyone with more information can call the New Glarus Police Department at (608) 527-2145.

- No injuries were reported during a two-vehicle accident at 11:08 a.m. Nov. 15 in a parking lot in the 300 block of Elmer Road. Reports indicate that Jerry J. Brendemuehl, 60, New Glarus, was performing a parking maneuver when he hit a legally parked vehicle owned by Kim Bockhop, Monticello.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No injuries were reported during a two-vehicle accident at 12:30 p.m. Friday on County C at County N in the Town of Washington. Reports indicate that Charles J. Drnek, 75, Monroe, had pulled from the stop sign on County N into the path of a westbound vehicle driven by Jeremy A. Brown, 39, Monticello. Brown's vehicle had severe front end damage, with airbag deployment. Drnek's vehicle had severe driver's side damage. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Brown was cited for failure to have insurance and Drnek was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way from a stop sign. Both were released.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 5:09 p.m. Friday on Wisconsin 104, south of Brooklyn-Albany Road, in the Town of Albany. Reports indicate that Benjamin W. Grossen, 24, Monroe, was southbound on Wis. 104 when he swerved to avoid hitting with a deer. He swerved and entered the west ditch, overcorrected and crossed the road where his vehicle rolled over coming to a rest on its roof in the east ditch. The vehicle had severe damage and was towed from the scene.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 5:17 p.m. Friday in the W5700 Block of County H, west of Wis. 69, in the Town of New Glarus. Reports indicate that Neale A. Tollakson, 62, Argyle, was westbound on County H when he hit a deer. The vehicle had moderate damage to the from and it was driven from the scene.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 6:32 p.m. Friday in the N9300 Block of County CC, north of County W in the Town of Exeter. Reports indicate that Brian J. Cork, 31, Belleville, was northbound on County CC when he hit a deer. The vehicle had moderate damage to the front and front driver's side quarter panel and was driven from the scene.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 9:19 p.m. Friday on County N, north of Vogel Road, in the Town of Monroe. Reports indicate that Tamara K. Harding, 36, Monroe, was northbound on County N when she hit a deer. The vehicle had moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 10:59 p.m. Friday on Wis. 59, west of County S, in the Town of Sylvester. Reports indicate that Melinda E. Baker, 32, Pearl City, hit a deer. There was minor damage to the vehicle damage and it was driven from the scene.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 11:19 p.m. Friday on County E at Race Road in the Town of Decatur. Reports indicate that Wanita K. Day, 29, Brodhead, was northbound on County W when she was negotiating a curve. A southbound vehicle negotiating the same curve went left of center entering the northbound lane. Day took evasive action and entered the ditch, causing the vehicle to overturn several times before coming to a rest of its roof. The vehicle had severe damage and was towed from the scene.

- Injuries were reported during an ATV accident at 5:33 p.m. Saturday on a private residence in the N4700 block of Cold Springs Road in the Town of Monroe. Reports indicate that a 14-year-old male was riding an ATV when he hit a bump in a pasture, causing him to be thrown from the ATV. The juvenile received non-life threatening injuries and was not wearing a helmet or eye protection.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 10:07 p.m. Saturday on County A, east of Wildlife Road in the Town of Adams. Reports indicate that Nathan J. Wallenhorst, 16, Cuba City, was eastbound on County A when he hit a deer. The vehicle had severe damage and was driven from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 5:25 p.m. Saturday on County DD in the Town of Wayne. Reports indicate that John W. Wyssbrod Jr., 74, South Wayne, hit a deer.

- No injuries reported during a one-vehicle accident at 11:41 p.m. Saturday on Wis. 81 in the Town of Argyle. Reports indicate that Connie L. Sauer, 65, Monroe, hit a deer. The vehicle had moderate damage.

- Stuart N. Vamstad, 59, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 6:31 a.m. Sunday on County F in the Town of Blanchard.

- Ashley A. Riley, 23, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 1:55 p.m. Sunday on County E in the Town of Darlington. The incident took place on the previous day.

- Theresa A. Wiegman, 32, Cuba City, reported hitting a deer at 10:46 p.m. Sunday on Wis. 81 in the Town of Darlington.
