MONROE POLICE

MONROE - A cyclist sustained minor injuries at 7:48 a.m. Tuesday after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Wisconsin 69 and 21st Street. The cyclist suffered minor scratches on his knee after Michael L. Griffin, 32, Monroe, collided with him in the crosswalk. Griffin was cited for driving without vehicle insurance.

MONROE - On Tuesday:

• No injuries were reported at 5:36 p.m. after Duane R. Yaeger, 54, New Glarus, struck a deer in the W6600 block of Wis. 39, Town of New Glarus. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 5:43 p.m. after Duane M. Garrison, 52, Monticello, struck a deer in the N3900 block of Wis. 69, Town of Monroe. His vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 5:59 p.m. after a rollover accident in the N7700 block of Valley View Road, Town of New Glarus. Linda J. Preston, 70, New Glarus, lost control of her vehicle while negotiating a curve and entered a ditch before striking a rock wall and overturning. Preston was arrested on a second-offense charge of driving while intoxicated and was cited for failure to maintain control of her vehicle. Preston was released pending court. Her vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 10:34 p.m. after Nicki M. Schwartzlow, 34, Brodhead, struck a deer in the N4300 block of Wis. 104, Town of Decatur. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported at 8:42 p.m. after Susan K. Tetzlaff, 63, Hazel Green, struck a deer on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. Her vehicle sustained minor damage.
