MONROE - On Friday
A two-vehicle hit-and-run crash was reported at 6:38 a.m. in the N200 block of County G in the Town of Spring Grove. Philip N. Mazahreh, 37, Monroe, was southbound when a northbound vehicle veered left of center and struck the mirror on Mazahreh's vehicle, causing minor damage. Mazahreh was uninjured. He described the other vehicle as a black 2000's model Chevrolet Silverado 2500 pickup truck. Following the collision, the truck continued northbound on County G. It was not located.
A two-vehicle crash with no injuries or road blockage was reported at 4:23 p.m. in the N2300 block of Wis. 11 in the Town of Jefferson. Robert E. Edler, 58, Monticello, was facing southbound on County S and stopped at the intersection with Wis. 11. He reported that a truck pulling a trailer was stopped ahead of him at the stop sign, when a semi unit traveling on Wis. 11 went to make a northbound turn on County S. The truck ahead of Edler started to back up to give the semi room to turn. Edler in turn started to back up and backed into a vehicle stopped behind him driven by Abby J. Salzwedel, 25, De Pere. Edler's vehicle was undamaged. Salzwedel's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed.
Nicholas H. Apostal, 38, Chicago, and his passengers reported no injuries at 11 p.m. after a deer entered the roadway in the W8100 block of Wis. 11 in the Town of Cadiz and collided with Apostal's vehicle, causing moderate front-end damage. It was driven from the scene.
