Monroe Police

MONROE - Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 11:45 a.m. Monday at Wisconsin 69 and 6th Street. Police report a vehicle driven by Cynthia J. Gerber, 58, Winslow, collided with a vehicle driven by Kevin R. Field, 27, Monroe. Gerber and her two passengers, Kelli K. Newcomer, 39, and Jesse R. Newcomer, 3, Monroe, sustained non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the Monroe Clinic by Green County Emergency Medical Services. Gerber was cited for violating a red traffic signal.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 1:45 p.m. Monday at 8th Street and 3rd Avenue. Police report a vehicle driven by John Auestad, 87, Argyle, collided with a vehicle driven by Lori J. Block, 39, Monroe. Auestad was cited for improper lane deviation.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 2:15 p.m. Monday on Wis. 69 at Wittenwyler Road in Mount Pleasant township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Alvin G. Schutte, 83, Monroe, left the road and hit four trees. A passenger in the vehicle, Algreta A. Schutte, was taken to the Monroe Clinic for injuries. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed. The Monticello Police Department assisted at the scene.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 1:15 p.m. Monday on County J near Vogel Road in Monroe township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Jolene S. Gobel, 23, Monroe, left the road and hit an embankment. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

• A vehicle driven by Cynthia J. Brandt, 52, Browntown, collided with a deer at about 5:15 a.m. Monday on Wis. 11 near Keller Road in Clarno township. The vehicle received minor damage.

• A vehicle driven by Harold L. Dewey, 76, Loves Park, Ill., collided with a deer at about 8:45 p.m. Monday on Wis. 11 west of Wis. 59. The vehicle received moderate damage.
