Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Chris B. Roberts, 49, Belleville, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident in the W400 block of Amidon Road, Brooklyn Township, at 1:40 a.m. Friday. Roberts was westbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

On Saturday:

• Matthew J. Brown, 31, Monticello, and his passenger were uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash in the W4200 block of County C, Town of Mt. Pleasant, at 8:16 p.m. Brown was westbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• Ronald L. Georgeson, 67, Monroe, and his passenger were uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash on Wisconsin 69 at Wittenwyler Road, Town of Mt. Pleasant, at 8:43 p.m. Georgeson was southbound on Wis. 69 when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The passenger side window was shattered and the door sustained moderate damage. The vehicle was driven from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - George S. H. Ross, 21, Arlington Heights, Ill., reported minor injuries Friday but refused treatment following a one-motorcycle accident that occurred on County P, Monticello Township. Ross was southbound traveling at a high rate of speed when he failed to negotiate a curve, causing the motorcycle he was driving to leave the roadway and go airborne. Ross was ejected from the bike and suffered minor injuries. The 1998 Honda motorcycle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Ross was cited at 4:32 p.m. for speeding, failure to have control and passing in a no-passing zone.

• Non-life-threatening injuries were reported Sunday in a one-car rollover crash on U.S. 151, Kendall Township. Marvin A. Johnson, 56, Anamosa, Iowa, was southbound when he lost control of his vehicle, which rolled over and came to rest on the median. Johnson was transported via Mineral Point Ambulance to an area hospital for his injuries. His 2002 Oldsmobile Alero sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. Johnson was cited at 9:49 p.m. for driving while intoxicated, driving after revocation and failure to have control. He was later arrested and jailed pending court. Online court records indicate Johnson was convicted of DWI in November 2003.
