NEW GLARUS Police
NEW GLARUS - Police received a complaint in regards to a reported hit-and-run accident at 6:18 a.m. May 5 to a 2010 Ford Explorer owned by General Communications that was legally parked in the 10 block of 2nd Street. The offending vehicle fled the scene.
Police responded at 4:06 p.m. Thursday to the New Glarus Brewery, 301 Cow Path Lane, for a report of a two-vehicle accident. An investigation revealed that a 2006 Coach Platinum Motor Home, driven by Wilma C. Rolston, 83, South Bend, Ind., side-swiped a legally parked 2015 Nissan Pathfinder belonging to Ean Holdings LLC of Oklahoma. Both vehicles received moderate damage. There were no injuries reported.

MONROE - On Sunday:
The Sheriff's Office received a report of a vehicle vs. deer crash that occurred at 4:56 a.m. on Klondike Road at Wis. 81 in the Town of Jordan. Thomas W. Lydon, 23, Davis, Ill., was eastbound on Wis. 81 when he hit a deer. Lydon reported the crash occurred about two hours prior to law enforcement being contacted. Lydon reported no injuries. The truck received moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Lydon was cited for failing to notify police of accident and was released.
No injuries were reported at 6:52 p.m. when deputies responded to a vehicle vs. deer accident in the W9300 block of County C in the Town of Adams. Peter G. Herman, 57, Argyle, was westbound when he hit a deer. Herman's vehicle received moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash with no injuries at 9:28 p.m. in the W8700 block of Wis. 39 in the Town of York. Alex J. McVay, 21, Dodgeville, was westbound on Wis. 39 when he lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a curve. The vehicle entered the ditch and hit a fence. McVay's vehicle received minor damage and it remained on scene until it was removed at a later date. McVay was cited for having no insurance and was released.

DARLINGTON - On Saturday:
A deputy responded at 7:21 p.m. to Kingsley Road in Gratiot Township for a one-vehicle accident with injuries. Rural Medical Ambulance and Gratiot First Response assisted on scene.
A deputy responded to an ATV accident with injuries at 9:49 p.m. on Wardsville Road in Seymour Township.
On Sunday:
A deputy responded to a one vehicle accident at 7:33 a.m. on County B in Township of Belmont. The driver failed to negotiate the corner at County B and W. Mound Road, left the roadway, broke through a fence and landed in a field. The driver left the scene and the 2011 GMC Acadia was towed from the scene.
A deputy responded to a motor vehicle hit-and-run accident at 8:49 a.m. on County G in Township of Belmont. The driver failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway hitting a sign.
