Monroe Police

Monroe - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash on 4th Avenue West and West 8th Street. A vehicle driven by Abraham Trueblood, 19, Brodhead, hit another vehicle driven by a 47-year-old man from Argyle. Trueblood was cited at 3:52 p.m. Thursday, for failure to yield right-of-way while making a left turn.

MONROE - On Thursday:

• David W. Wright Jr., 52, Gratiot, and his passenger were uninjured in a turkey vs. vehicle accident on Wisconsin 11 near Dill Road, Cadiz Township. Wright was westbound on Wis. 11 when a turkey entered the roadway and hit the vehicle. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported in a hit-and-run crash in the N9400 block of Wis. 69, Town of New Glarus. Deputies later located the driver Timothy A. Hultman, 38, Madison, on Wis. 69 and Argue Road. Hultman told the officers he was driving a car northbound on Wis. 69 when he swerved to miss an animal in the road. The car then went into the east ditch where it hit a fence and phone junction box. The car then drove back onto the road and continued northbound until Hultman eventually stopped the car due to the damage. The car received severe damage and was left at Wis. 69 and Argue Road. The fence owner and TDS were notified about the damage to their property. Hultman was cited at 7:50 p.m. for failure to maintain control, failure to notify law enforcement of an accident and hit-and-run. The passenger and owner of the car, Clayton M. Causey, 28, Madison, was cited for failure to have insurance. New Glarus and Belleville police assisted in investigating the crash.
