Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Wednesday, March 26:

• Lucy E. Roper, 55, South Wayne, was uninjured after her van hit a piece of steel in the roadway of Wisconsin 11 west of Ullom Road, Town of Cadiz. Roper was eastbound when her van hit a piece of steel and sustained moderate damage. Dennis M. Sorrenson, 67, South Wayne, returned to the scene later and stated the steel was from a cabinet that came off the back of his truck. Sorrenson was cited at 1:38 p.m. for failure to secure a load and was released pending court.

• Annette M. Vick, 57, Warren, Ill., was uninjured when her vehicle hit an object that had fallen off of a truck on Wis. 11 east of Ullom Road, Town of Cadiz at 4:06 p.m. Vick's vehicle sustained severe damage after it hit a large square bale that fell off the trailer of a truck driven by Kevin J. Beckman, 42, Argyle. Vick's vehicle was towed from the scene, and Beckman's truck/trailer sustained no damage and was driven from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on Wis. 23, Willow Springs Township at 4:21 p.m Wednesday, March 26. Glenn R. Kinch, 44, Mineral Point, was northbound on Wis. 23 when Shawn L. Schulte, 36, Darlington, pulled his truck into the path of Kinch from a stop sign on Shortcut Road that intersected Wis. 23. Kinch attempted to avoid hitting Schulte's truck but was unsuccessful and hit Schulte's 2006 Dodge truck. Kinch's 2007 Freightliner sustained damage and was driven from the scene. Schulte's truck also sustained damage and was towed from the scene.
