MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 8 p.m. Thursday on County B, east of Allen Road in Cadiz township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Heather Ley-Ann Gower, 18, Monroe, passed a vehicle and then went off the shoulder of the road. Gower overcorrected and the vehicle crossed the road into the opposite ditch where it hit an embankment and overturned. Gower was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. She was taken to Monroe Clinic by Green County Emergency Medical Services. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.
• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 1:45 a.m. Thursday on County K. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Lucas C. Patterson, 25, Monroe, failed to negotiate a curve and went into a ditch. The vehicle was then removed from the ditch and driven toward Monroe. Patterson was arrested in the W5100 block of County KK. He was arrested for drunken driving, failure to maintain control of a vehicle and open intoxicants in a vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle, Brittany R. Lean, 20, Monticello, was cited for open intoxicants in a vehicle and underage drinking. They were released pending court.
