MONROE - Dzelal Rusiti, 53, Monroe, reported no injuries following a deer vs. vehicle accident at the Red Apple Restaurant, Monroe. Rusiti was eastbound in the W7200 block of Wis. 11, Town of Clarno, when a deer ran into the vehicle around 11:35 p.m. Thursday, March 6. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
On Friday, March 7:
No injuries were reported in a car vs. deer accident on Zurfluh Road, west of Tin Can Road, Town of Albany at 6:10 a.m. Marcia I. Scofield, 51, Albany, was eastbound when a deer ran into her vehicle. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was driven from the scene.
Minor injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Wis. 81 and Wis. 11, Argyle interchange, Town of Monroe. Ralph A. Lapp, 86, no address, was driving south on Wis. 81 when a northbound vehicle driven by Sunday K. Bollman, 71, Lanark, Ill., attempted to turn west onto the Wis. 11 westbound ramp and drove into the path of Lapp's vehicle. The front end of Lapp's vehicle hit Bollman's passenger-side rear door. Lapp was transported via ambulance to an area hospital. Bollman refused transport. Bollman's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Lapp's vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed. Further follow-up and citations to follow.
Pamela A. Drafall, 61, Elgin, Ill., and her passenger reported no injuries following a deer vs. vehicle accident in the W5200 block of Wis. 11, Town of Monroe. Drafall was westbound when a deer ran into her vehicle. The vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage and was driven from the scene.
Zachary T. W. Allen, 22, Whitewater, was transported to the UW Hospital at 4:56 p.m. Sunday, March 9, for injuries he incurred from being run over by a vehicle. Scott J. Allen, 59, Whitewater, was eastbound on Wis. 39, driving slowly, looking for a place to pull over because his wife, a diabetes patient, was having complications with her blood sugar. Zachary, their son and passenger, jumped from the moving vehicle and was run over. Zachary reportedly has Asperger syndrome and became excited by his mother's distress. Scott and his wife were uninjured. The vehicle sustained no damage and was driven from the scene. Blanchardville EMS assisted at the scene.
