Traffic Accidents: June 8, 2017

MONROE POLICE

MONROE - A driver was injured at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday after Justin D. Halvorson, 28, Brodhead, struck a parked vehicle in the 2000 block of 19th Street. Halvorson was taken to Monroe Clinic with non-life-threatening injuries and was arrested for driving while intoxicated and with a revoked license. Both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed from the scene.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - On Tuesday:

• No injuries were reported at 6:54 a.m. after Victor K. Soden, 62, Monroe, backed into a parked vehicle in the N3500 block of Wisconsin 59, Town of Sylvester. Soden's vehicle sustained negligible damage, while the parked vehicle sustained moderate damage.

• A motorcyclist was injured at 7:28 p.m. after Mark F. Steinmann, 65, Monroe, lost control of his motorcycle and struck a lilac bush in the W5400 block of County FF, Town of Monroe. Steinmann was transported to Monroe Clinic for his injuries. His motorcycle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.

• No injuries were reported after Mark A. Eith, 51, Verona, struck a deer in the N8300 block of County CC, Town of Exeter.

• No injuries were reported after Jared M. Burkey struck a deer in the W4900 block of County W, Town of New Glarus.

• No injuries were reported after Michael A. Nevil, 55, New Glarus, struck a deer in the N8200 block of Valley Road, Town of New Glarus.

• No injuries were reported after Trisha R. Pernot, 30, New Glarus, struck a deer in the W8400 block of Wis. 39, Town of York.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported at 9:22 p.m. Tuesday after John T. Stayner, 66, Stockton, Illinois, struck a deer on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.
