MONROE POLICE

MONROE - On Saturday:

• No injuries were reported at 9:07 a.m. after Gina M. Haldiman, 45, Monroe, struck a vehicle driven by a 59-year-old Verona woman in the 900 block of 17th Avenue. Haldiman was cited for following too closely.

• No injuries were reported at 10:21 a.m. after Robert L. Schumacher, 81, Monroe, struck a vehicle driven by a 50-year-old Monroe man at the intersection of 8th Street and 1st Avenue. Schumacher was cited for violating a traffic signal.

On Sunday, no injuries were reported at 5:20 a.m. after a vehicle struck a stop sign and a power pole in the 1000 block of 19th Street before leaving the scene. The driver was identified as Brandon J. Wenger, 34, Monroe, and was cited for inattentive driving and for committing a hit-and-run.



NEW GLARUS POLICE

NEW GLARUS - On June 12, police assisted the Green County Sheriff at 3:54 p.m. with a vehicle in a ditch in the 5000 block of County W.

On June 13, Bryce E. Laube, 24, Madison, was arrested at 12:22 a.m. for driving while intoxicated after he drove into a ditch on County W. Laube was also cited for driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration and for failure to maintain control of his vehicle.

On Wednesday, no injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident in the 200 block of 2nd Avenue. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were driven from the scene.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - On Friday:

• No injuries were reported at 5:27 p.m. after a two-vehicle collision involving a police car in the 700 block of Carolan Drive in Albany. Phyliss A. Larson, 80, Albany, backed into a parked and unoccupied Albany Police squad car with its emergency lights activated. Larson was not charged. Larson's vehicle sustained minor damage, while the squad car sustained moderate damage. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported after Daniel A. Watkins, 56, Belleville, struck a deer in the N8500 block of County CC, Town of Exeter.

On Saturday, no injuries were reported after Tyler Paul Leutenegger, 16, Monroe, struck a deer in the N1000 block of Honey Creek Road, Town of Cadiz.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - On Friday, no injuries were reported at 2:14 a.m. after William A. Wenger, 59, Evansville, struck a telephone pole on North Warren Street in South Wayne. His vehicle sustained minor damage.

On Saturday:

• No injuries were reported at 12:40 a.m. after David L. Larson, 54, South Wayne, struck a deer on Porter Road, Town of Wayne. His vehicle sustained minor damage.

• No injuries were reported at 9:33 a.m. after Amber L. Prazak, 31, Platteville, struck a deer on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. Her vehicle sustained minor damage.

• A driver was injured at 10:32 a.m. after an ATV accident on Paulson Road, Town of Blanchard. Casey N. Berndt, 24, Orangeville, Ill., lost control of his ATV and rolled over. Berndt was transported to a local hospital.

• No injuries were reported at 12:23 p.m. after a vehicle clipped a tractor driven by Thomas G. Wellnitz, 48, South Wayne, while passing in a no-passing zone on County N, Town of Wayne.

On Sunday:

• No injuries were reported at 10:53 a.m. after Sally L. Trekell, 83, Aurora, Ill., struck a deer on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 11:25 a.m. after Mark J. Donar, 50, Cuba City, struck a deer on Twin Bridge Road, Town on Benton.

• A deputy assisted the Darlington Police at 7:18 p.m. with a hit-and-run collision on West Alice Street in Darlington.

• No injuries were reported at 9:20 p.m. after Connor W. Hackett, 18, Darlington, struck a deer on County Shop Road, Town of Darlington. His vehicle sustained minor damage.
