Traffic Accidents: June 15, 2011

DARLINGTON - Non-life threatening injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 12:43 a.m. Saturday on County D in the Town of Wayne. Reports indicate that Randall A. Horsman, 50, South Wayne, was traveling southbound when he failed to negotiate a curve, lost control of his vehicle and traveled across the roadway and into a field, where the vehicle rolled onto its side. Horsman was transported to Monroe Clinic Hospital by Green County EMS. The vehicle had extensive damage and was towed from the scene. Horsman was cited for driving while intoxicated, failure to have control, driving with no vehicle insurance, and driving with no valid driver's license.

- Deputies investigated a hit-and-run crash at 5:30 a.m. Sunday on County F in the Town of Blanchard. Reports indicate that an unknown vehicle traveled off the road and hit a tree. The vehicle was gone from the scene when officials arrived.

- Deputies took a report of a hit-and-run property damage accident at 8:11 p.m. Sunday on Village Road in Gratiot. Reports indicate that a gate and fence at St. Joseph's Cemetery was damaged by an unknown vehicle. The incident remains under investigation.
