Traffic Accidents: July 9, 2008

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident about 7:15 p.m. Monday on U.S. Highway 151 in Belmont township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Bruce J. Baker, Edmund, passed another vehicle, then went into the median, crossed two lanes of traffic, went through a fence and came to rest in a field. Baker was taken to Southwest Healthcare Hospital for injuries. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed. The Platteville Fire Department and Platteville Emergency Medical services assisted at the scene.

• A vehicle driven by Randy G. Koelker, 50, Cassville, hit a deer about 12:30 a.m. Monday on Wisconsin 78 in Gratiot township. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• A vehicle driven by Rebecca J. Johnson, 20, Blanchardville, hit a deer Sunday on Wis. 78 in Argyle township. The crash was reported about 5:45 a.m. Monday.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - A vehicle driven by Timothy N. Kolasch, 42, Monticello, hit a deer about 9:15 p.m. Monday in the W6600 block of County C. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed from the scene.
