Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Friday:

• Teresa M. Schmid, 47, Monticello, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred on County A near Biggs Road, Town of Adams, at 7:24 a.m. Schmid was westbound on County A when a deer ran into the roadway and hit her vehicle. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

• Brenda J. Schmitt, 32, New Glarus, and her passenger were uninjured when her vehicle hit her parked camper in the 500 block of 9th Avenue, Village of New Glarus, at 5:50 p.m. Schmitt was eastbound when she attempted to pull into her driveway and hit her camper. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene. The camper sustained minor damage.

On Saturday:

• Kellie L. Wand, 28, Cedarville, Ill., was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash in the W2500 block of Greenbush Road at 7:47 a.m. Wand was eastbound attempting to negotiate a curve. She lost control of the vehicle and came to rest in the south ditch. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene. Wand was warned by law enforcement for driving too fast for conditions.

• Jeffrey A. Siekert, 35, New Glarus, was uninjured after his truck hit an unoccupied vehicle in the W5300 block of Windmill Ridge Road, New Glarus Township, at 10:50 p.m. Siekert was attempting to back out of his driveway when he hit a vehicle parked on the grass opposite his driveway. There was no damage to Siekert's truck. The parked vehicle sustained minor damage. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

• Steven J. Gobeli, 55, Monroe, and his passenger were uninjured in a deer vs. car crash that occurred in the N2500 block of Steiner Road, Cadiz Township at 4:38 p.m. Gobeli was southbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle was driven from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

•Jenna M. Bocklund, 28, Argyle, reported hitting a deer at 3:07 a.m. on County N, Wiota Township.

• Bryan D. Tesack, 21, Warren Ill., sustained non life-threatening injuries after his 2004 Ford hit a tree on County Z, Kendall Township. Tesack was southbound on County O traveling at a high rate of speed when he tried to turn left onto County Z and hit a tree. He was transported via Belmont Ambulance to the hospital for his injuries. Tesack's Ford was severely damaged and towed from the scene. Tesack was cited at 3:28 a.m. for driving while intoxicated. Belmont Fire Department assisted at the scene.
