MONROE - On Wednesday:

• Dennis B. Nelson, 62, Monroe, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash that occurred in the N9100 block of Wisconsin 69, Town of New Glarus, at 5:50 a.m. Nelson was northbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit the front of his vehicle. The vehicle was severely damaged and was driven from the scene.

• Two people sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a three-vehicle accident on Wisconsin 81 at County M, Town of Jordan. Thomas G. Krenz, 23, Blanchardville, was cited at 7:48 a.m. for inattentive driving after his vehicle rear-ended an eastbound vehicle driven by Mary F. Heinberg, 50, Darlington, causing Heinberg's vehicle to rear-end a third vehicle driven by Luann J. Smith, 46, Darlington. Smith was stopped in traffic on Wis. 81 waiting for a vehicle in front of her to turn onto County M. After Krenz's vehicle started a chain of crashes, Heinberg and Smith sustained injuries. Heinberg was transported to Monroe Clinic Hospital via Argyle EMS. Smith refused medical treatment at the scene. Krenz was uninjured. Smith's vehcile was moderately damaged and initially driven from the scene but was later towed. Heinberg's vehicle was severely damaged and was towed from the scene. Krenz's vehicle was moderately damaged and initially driven from the scene and later towed. Deputies, Argyle Fire Department, Monroe EMS and Browntown Fire Department responded to the scene. Krenz was released pending court.

• James E. Nowicki, 57, Brodhead, was uninjured after his vehicle hit a line of wooden barriers on North Drive, Town of Decatur, at 9:07 a.m. Nowicki was northbound when he lost control of his vehicle during a right-hand turn at an intersection and hit the wooden barriers. The vehicle was moderately damaged and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of County E and County EE, Town of Albany. Ethan L. Allen, 36, Evansville, was cited at 5:57 p.m. for failure to stop at a stop sign after his westbound vehicle traveled through a stop sign and hit a northbound vehicle driven by Arthur P. Patchen, 41, Albany. Patchen's vehicle was moderately damaged and was driven from the scene. Allen's vehicle was severely damaged and was towed from the scene. Allen was released pending court.

• Zachari M. Tollakson, 30, Argyle, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash that occurred in the N7700 block of County A, Town of York, at 8:55 p.m. Tollakson was southbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit the front driver's-side of his vehicle. The vehicle was severely damaged and was removed from the scene by Tollakson.

DARLINGTON - On Wednesday:

• A deputy responded at 7:27 a.m. to a vehicle in the ditch on Carr Factory Road, Benton Township.

• A deputy responded to a vehicle in the ditch on Wisconsin 78, Blanchardville Township, at 6:07 p.m.
