New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident around 5 p.m. Friday on Fourth Street near 13th Avenue. Police report a vehicle driven by Linda E. Schiesser, 63, New Glarus, backed into a parked vehicle owned by Jeffrey B. Buesser, 49, New Glarus. Schiesser's vehicle received minor damage.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 6:15 p.m. Saturday on 10th Avenue near Tower Circle. Police report a vehicle driven by Marc A. Blanc, 44, New Glarus, backed into a parked vehicle driven by Dave Jones Plumbing and Heating, Monona. Both vehicles received minor damage.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident around 2:15 p.m. Dec. 31 in the parking lot of Roy's Market. Police report a vehicle driven by Margaret M. Decker, 60, Phoenix, hit a vehicle owned by Roxanne M. Klossner, 47, Mount Horeb. Klossner's vehicle received minor damage.

• A vehicle owned by Michael L. Richards, 22, New Glarus, was hit by an unknown vehicle around 9 a.m. Dec. 30 in the 1200 block of Fifth Street. The incident remains under investigation.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 5:45 p.m. Monday in the W3900 block of County C. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Kelsey M. Gruter, 18, New Glarus, failed to stop at a stop sign due to heavy fog, went into a field and hit a grain bin. A passenger in the vehicle, Kala L. Booth, 17, New Glarus, sustained minor injuries. The vehicle received moderate damage and an augur attached to the grain bin received extensive damage.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 2:45 p.m. Monday in the N8000 block of Wisconsin 69. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Jackie L. Boeck, 35, Monroe, swerved to avoid a vehicle in her lane of traffic, went into a ditch and then down an embankment. The vehicle received minor damage. The incident remains under investigation.

• A vehicle driven by Neal R. Minogue, 47, Monroe, hit a deer around 6 p.m. Monday in the W2300 block of Wis. 59. The vehicle received minor damage.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident around noon Monday on Burr Oak Road in Belmont township. Deputies report a fuel delivery truck driven by Gary P. James, 58, Darlington, backed into a parked Belmont school bus driven by Thomas B. Ludlum, 62, Platteville. Approximately 10 students were on the bus at the time of the accident and none reported any injury. Both vehicles received minor damage.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident around 12:45 p.m. Monday on Wis. 81 in Darlington township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by May Thuli, age unknown, Darlington, was slowing to turn into a business driveway when it was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by Pedro Martinez-Morale, 32, Darlington. Both vehicles received moderate damage. Fog was a contributing factor in the crash. Martinez-Morale was arrested for driving after revocation and for a warrant for failure to pay a previous fine. He was released after posting bond.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident around 9:30 a.m. Monday on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg township. Deputies report a farm tractor driven by Pamela A. Teasdale, 59, Shullsburg, was crossing the road when it was hit by a semi driven by Eric D. Russell, 26, Shullsburg. The Shullsburg Fire Department, Shullsburg Ambulance and the Wisconsin State patrol assisted at the scene. Fog was a contributing factor in the crash.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident around 2:30 p.m. Monday on Wis. 11 and Ridge Avenue in Benton. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Troy L. Pittz, 47, Benton, pulled away from a stop sign and hit a vehicle driven by William J. Harris, 20, Benton. Both vehicles received minor damage. Fog was a contributing factor in the crash.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 2:30 p.m. Monday on County W in Gratiot township. Deputies report a semi driven by Oliver L. Coleman, 45, Chicago, failed to negotiate a curve, went into a ditch and became stuck in the snow. The Gratiot Fire Department assisted at the scene.

• A vehicle driven by Edward M. Svetich, 33, Darlington, hit a deer in the early morning hours Monday on Wis. 81 in Lamont township. The accident was reported around 4 p.m. The vehicle received moderate damage.
