NEW GLARUS - No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at about 3 p.m. Jan. 17 at the intersection of 14th Avenue and Wisconsin 69. Deputies report Christopher S. Capps, 18, New Glarus, attempted to make a left turn, when the vehicle slid north onto Wis. 69, struck a Department of Natural Resources trail sign and snapped it off at the base. The vehicle received no damage.

MONROE - No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident at about 8:30 a.m. Saturday on North 18th Avenue, south of Wis. 11, in the Town of Monroe. Deputies report Michelle J. Ritschard, 35, Monroe, was southbound when she lost control of the car, which slid into the ditch near the entrance to Alphorn Ford and struck a snow bank. The vehicle received minor damage, was towed from the ditch and was driven from the scene. The Monroe Police Department assisted at the scene.
- No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at about 8 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of County CC and County W in the Town of Exeter. Deputies report Sean A. Florence, 27, Monroe, was northbound when a raccoon came onto the road. Florence applied his brakes, but entered the intersection, sliding into the north ditch line, striking a fence post and a fence. The vehicle received minor damage, was towed from the ditch and was driven from the scene. Florence was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and released pending court. Belleville Police Department also responded.
- Nicole R. Matley, 36, Monroe, was westbound when a deer collided with her vehicle at about 10:45 p.m. Friday in the W900 block of County E in the Town of Decatur. The vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
- Monte S. Clark, 42, Monroe, was westbound when a deer collided with the vehicle at about 12:15 a.m. Saturday on County P east of Haddinger Road in the Town of Clarno. The vehicle received moderate damages and was driven from the scene.

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in a snowmobile accident at about 11:45 p.m. Friday on private property off County O in the Town of Kendall. Deputies report Calvin G. Capranos, 41, Davenport, Iowa, was traveling up a hill, when he lost control, and the snowmobile rolled over, ejecting him. Capranos was transported by private vehicle to Southwest Healthcare in Platteville for treatment of injuries to his shoulder.
- One person was injured in a one-vehicle, rollover accident at about 9 a.m. Saturday on U. S. Highway 151 in the Town of Kendall. Deputies report Hillary J. Hannan, 19, Dubuque, Iowa, was southbound when she encountered black ice on a bridge and lost control. The car skidded across both lanes of traffic and into the median where it rolled over. Hannan was transported by Mineral Point Rescue Squad to Upland Hills Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed. Mineral Point Police Department assisted.
- No injuries were reported from a hit-and-run accident reported at about 1 a.m. Saturday on Washington Street in Belmont. Deputies report a northbound pickup truck drove directly into the back of a parked vehicle owned by Debra Keeran, (no age given), Belmont. The impact pushed the front of the Keeran car into a large snow pile, causing front and rear damage to the car. The driver then fled the scene. The offending vehicle was found a short time later, parked in a driveway, unoccupied, several blocks away. Attempts to contact the operator were unsuccessful and the vehicle was towed. On Sunday, Jeremy J. Hefel, 31, Benton, reported he lost control of the snow-covered roadway and struck the parked vehicle. The Hefel vehicle received moderate damage. He was cited for failure to have control, it and run to an unattended vehicle, and failure to notify police of an accident.
- No injuries were reported from a hit-and-run accident at about 10 a.m. Friday on Catherine Street in Darlington. Deputies report a legally parked Lafayette County squad car received damage when an unknown vehicle backed into it.
- Michelle R. Hauser, 43, Darlington, reported being struck by a deer at about 6 p.m. Friday on Otter Creek Road in the Town of Lamont. The vehicle received moderate damage.
- James M. Hagen, 44, Woodford, reported at about 11 a.m. Saturday striking a deer Friday night on County M in the Town of Wiota. The vehicle received moderate damage.
