Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Tuesday, Dec. 31:

• Stephen M. Kirby, 50, Beloit, was uninjured following a deer vs. vehicle crash in the W2600 block of Wis. 11 in Jefferson Township reported at 5:22 p.m. Kirby's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• Phillip L. Whitehead, 47, New Glarus, was uninjured following a deer vs. vehicle crash in the N7900 block of Wis. 79 in New Glarus Township reported at 7:24 p.m. Whitehead's vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Tuesday, Dec. 31:

• James L. Bryson, 30, Darlington, reported injuries but declined medical treatment after deputies responded at 8:44 a.m. to a two-vehicle accident on County W in Shullsburg Township. Robert W. Ernst, 47, Apple River, Ill., was traveling westbound on County W when he missed a stop sign and slid through the intersection of County O. Bryson was traveling southbound on County O and passing through the intersection of County W when his vehicle was struck broadside by Ernst's truck, causing the truck and trailer to jack-knife. Ernst was cited for driving too fast for conditions. The 2004 Jeep that Bryson was driving sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene. The 1997 Mack truck and trailer Ernst was driving sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• Brett V. Priebe, 54, Argyle, was uninjured following a one-vehicle accident on County M in Wiota Township. Priebe was traveling northbound on County M when his vehicle traveled off the roadway down an embankment and came to rest on its roof in a small creek. Preibe was cited for failure to maintain control. The 2002 Ford van sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

• A deputy responded to one of several complaints of vehicles in the ditch due to slippery roadways. No injuries or property damages were reported.
