NEW GLARUS - On Jan. 9:
No injuries were reported during a two-vehicle crash at 5:49 p.m. in the 1400 block of Wis. 69. A GMC truck was traveling southbound on Wis. 69 when a Buick Encore was traveling northbound and turned left into Ampride right in front of the truck and they collided. Rachael M. Tadych, 47, Blanchardville, was cited for inattentive driving. The Buick was towed from the scene.
On Saturday:
No injuries were reported during a crash at 6:26 p.m. at Wis. 69 and 6th Avenue. Justin D. Swearingen, 16, Blanchardville, was cited for failure to yield while making a left turn, non-registration of a motor vehicle and operating without insurance. Fire and EMS also responded.

MONROE - On Sunday:
No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash at 6:14 p.m. in the W1200 block of Wis. 59 in Albany. Monica L. King, 31, Oregon, was eastbound on Wis. 59 when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered road and collided with a mail box. King's vehicle then entered the ditch. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed.
No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash at 8:52 p.m. in the W100 block of Atkinson Road in Albany. Spencer R. Franklin, 18, Evansville, was eastbound on Atkinson Road when he lost control of his vehicle due to the snow-covered road. Franklin failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection of Wis. 104 and struck the ditch. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed. Franklin was cited for operating after suspension, non-registration of an auto, and too fast for conditions. Franklin was released pending court.
On Monday:
Injuries were reported during a two-vehicle crash at 4:19 p.m. in the W7400 block of Wis. 39 in the Town of York. Elaine M. Grenzow, 59, Blanchardville, was eastbound on Wis. 39 when she started to slow down in order to turn and was rear-ended by Therese M. Hieneman, 54, East Troy. After the vehicles collided, Hieneman's vehicle overturned. The snow-covered road was a factor in the crash. The air bags deployed in both vehicles. Grenzow and Hieneman were both injured in the crash but declined EMS. Both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed. New Glarus Police assisted.

Garthwaite, 19, Monroe, was on County KK attempting to merge on to eastbound Wis. 11 when she lost control of her vehicle due to the snow-covered road and struck a guard rail. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
