GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF
MONROE - On Tuesday:
• No injuries were reported at 4:27 a.m. after a two-vehicle collision in the N6200 block of Wisconsin 69, Town of Mount Pleasant. Gary L. Grunder, 66, Monticello, sideswiped the vehicle of Diane L. Gempeler, 51, Monroe, after being blinded by an oncoming vehicle's high beam headlights. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were driven from the scene.
• No injuries were reported at 4:41 a.m. after Alexandra L. Fox, 35, Brodhead, lost control of her vehicle on the icy roadway of the W4500 block of Wis. 11, Town of Jefferson, and struck the vehicle of Todd A. Ils, 45, Freeport. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage; Fox's was towed from the scene.
• No injuries were reported at 5:02 a.m. after Corey L. Thomas, 36, Freeport, lost control of his vehicle in the N3700 block of County J, Town of Monroe, and struck a tree and a fence post. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
• No injuries were reported at 5:53 a.m. after Joey D. Jaeggi, 54, Monroe, lost control of his vehicle, which entered a ditch and struck a snowbank in the N7900 block of County E, Town of Brooklyn. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.
• No injuries were reported at 8:37 a.m. after Austin S. Cassaro, 26, Machesney Park, Illinois, lost control of his vehicle and struck a mailbox in the W100 block of Wis. 81, Town of Spring Grove. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
• A driver was injured at 11:44 a.m. after Lajames D. Givens, 41, Sheboygan, crashed his vehicle after he swerved to avoid striking a deer in the W9400 block of Wis. 39, Town of York. Givens was transported to a local hospital for his injuries and was cited for driving with an expired license. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.
