Green County Sheriff

MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle crash around 7 p.m. Friday. Sarah R. Miller, 53, Blanchardville, received non-life-threatening injuries when she lost control of her vehicle due to snow slush and ice near Marty Road on Wisconsin 39. The vehicle left the road and went into the ditch, receiving moderate damage. Miller was transported to an area hospital.

• Minor injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident around 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the W1700 block of County EE. Deputies report that Matthew R. Gioffredi, 22, Rockford, lost control of his vehicle on a curve. The vehicle overturned and received severe damage. Gioffredi was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, prohibited concentration and open intoxicants. He was released pending court.

• Minor injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident around 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the N8600 block of County E. Travis M. Mountford, 25, Brooklyn, told deputies he swerved to miss a deer, went off the road and hit a tree; the car then overturned onto its top. The vehicle received severe damage.

• No one was injured in a two-car accident around 5 p.m. Friday on the Argyle interchange on Wis. 11. A vehicle driven by Kory A. Keehn, 27, Albany, sideswiped a car operated by Kelly S. Gordee, 48, Monroe. Both cars received minor damage. Keehn was cited for failure to wear a seatbelt.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle rollover around 1:45 a.m. Sunday on Wis. 11 east of Smock Valley Road. Deputies report Dawn T. Robelia, 39, Gratiot, lost control of her vehicle on the ice-covered highway. The vehicle received minor damage.

• Deputies investigated an overturned vehicle in a ditch around 2:45 a.m. Sunday on County J north of Wis. 81. Occupants had left the scene prior to law enforcement arrival. The incident remains under investigation.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 4:45 a.m. Sunday in the W2900 block of Wis. 59. Deputies report Jennifer D. Forrest, 17, Albany, lost control of her vehicle, due to snow and ice, while negotiating a curve. The vehicle left the road and overturned, receiving moderate damage.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 11:45 p.m. Thursday south of Valley View Road in Wis. 69. Daniel T. Jacobson, 51, Monroe, lost control of his vehicle and struck a guardrail, causing minor damage to the vehicle.

• No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident around 3:15 a.m. Friday in the W5700 block of Washington Road. Deputies report Monica A. Hawthorn, 32, Monticello, lost control of her vehicle due to ice on the road. The vehicle left the road and struck a barn. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• A vehicle driven by Lu Anne Rosa, 53, Monroe, hit a deer around 6 p.m. Friday on Wis. 69 at Gutzmer Road. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• A vehicle driven by Marvis A. Robertson, 70, Monroe, hit a deer around 6 p.m. Friday on Wis. 69 in the N6100 block. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• A vehicle driven by Tracy A. Kauk, 41, Albany, hit a deer around 6 p.m. Friday on County E south of County EE. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• A vehicle driven by Jesse E. Schneiter, 18, Belleville, WI, hit a deer around 6 p.m. Saturday in the W5100 block of Kubley Road. The vehicle received severe damage.

• A vehicle driven by Marylou Larson, 45, Albany, hit a deer around 7 a.m. Sunday in the N7000 on Wis. 59. The vehicle received moderate damage.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 3:30 a.m. Friday on Wis. 126 in Elk Grove township. Deputies report Alden C. Mejia, 35, Darlington, lost control on snow-covered highway. The vehicle crossed the highway, went into the ditch on the opposite side and struck a fence. Neither Mejia nor his passenger were injured. The accident remains under investigation.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 9:15 a.m. Saturday on Wis. 11 in Gratiot Township. Larry E. Heindel, 64, Monroe, lost control of his vehicle and went into the ditch. The vehicle received moderate damage.

Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - Emily Backus, 45, Brodhead, was cited for operating without a valid driver's license, following a traffic accident around 3:45 p.m. Jan. 7 in the 600 block of First Center Ave. She was released pending court.
