NEW GLARUS POLICE
NEW GLARUS - On Dec. 21, Michael D. Halvorsen, 25, New Glarus, was cited for a hit-and-run collision with an unattended vehicle the previous day. Halvorsen was also cited for failure to notify police of an accident.
On Dec. 22, police assisted the Green County Sheriff with a crash in the 500 block of Railroad Street.

MONROE - On Wednesday, no injuries were reported at 5:04 p.m. after Mark J. Peterson, 49, South Wayne, lost control of his vehicle after swerving to avoid a deer in the W8600 block of Wisconsin 11, Town of Cadiz. Peterson's vehicle entered a ditch and came to rest in a creek. Peterson was cited for failure to maintain control of his vehicle. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
On Friday, no injuries were reported at 8:56 a.m. after Andrew D. Peterson, 23, Madison, struck a loose cow in the W7200 block of Wis. 39, Town of New Glarus. Peterson was cited for driving without vehicle insurance. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.
On Saturday:
No injuries were reported at 8:32 a.m. after Eugen V. Keegan, 53, Monroe, struck a turkey on Wis. 11, Town of Jefferson. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
No injuries were reported at 1:42 p.m. after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of County OK Wis. 11, Town of Spring Grove. Levi M. Visger, 17, Brodhead, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Randy W. Worrick, 43, Brodhead, who had stopped at the intersection. Visger's vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene, while Worrick's vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
On Sunday:
No injuries were reported at 6:15 a.m. after Jakobi L. Dammen, 23, Argyle, struck a deer on County A, Town of Adams. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
No injuries were reported at 8:30 p.m. after Robert V. Herrick 60, Rockford, struck a deer in the W5700 block of Wis. 11, Town of Monroe. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.

DARLINGTON - On Wednesday, no injuries were reported at 7:22 p.m. after Kathryn A. Varner, 52, Blanchardville, struck a deer on County N, Town of Argyle. Her vehicle sustained minor damage.
