Green County Sheriff
MONROE - Deputies, along with the Monticello Police, New Glarus Police, New Glarus Fire and New Glarus EMS responded to a multi-vehicle crash at about 5 p.m. Thursday on Wisconsin 69, .3 north of County NN in New Glarus township.
Julie A. Zimmerman, 51, Juda, was southbound on Wis. 69 when she collided with a deer. The vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
While the deer was laying in the middle of the road, a northbound vehicle driven by Angela A. Voight, 46, New Glarus, ran over the deer.
Steven C. Buehl, 54, Monticello, stopped to assist at the accident scene and parked his car in the right lane of Wis. 69 and turned on his warning flashers. Thomas H. Simonson, 59, Monroe, also southbound on Wis. 69, rear-ended Buehl's car. Buehl was not in the car when Simonson struck it.
A third vehicle driven by Julie A. Zimmerman, 43, Monticello, then rear-ended Simonson's vehicle. Simonson had minor injuries but declined treatment. Zimmerman (from Monticello) was not injured.
The vehicles owned by Buehl, Simonson and Zimmerman (from Monticello) all had severe damage and were towed from the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
A vehicle driven by Catherine M. Hoelzel, 44, Blanchardville, hit a deer at about 6:45 p.m. Thursday in the N9400 Block of Wisconsin 78. The car had received minor damage and was driven from the scene.

DARLINGTON - Deputies responded to a minor two-vehicle accident at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday on Main Street, Gratiot. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene. No further information was available.
