LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - A deputy was dispatched at about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday to County W in Benton township for a vehicle in the ditch. Upon arrival, the deputy learned the vehicle had been in a traffic accident and the driver had left the scene. The vehicle was towed and the accident remains under investigation.

GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 8 a.m. Wednesday in the W7500 block of Franklin Road, Town of Cadiz. James R. White, 57, Browntown, was backing out of his driveway when Adam R. Liphart, 17, Browntown, came over a hill and was unable to avoid striking White's vehicle. White's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Liphart's vehicle sustained very minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at about 9 a.m. Wednesday on County E south of King Road in the Town of Brooklyn. Reem N. Makhamreh, 26, Brooklyn, was waiting for an unknown northbound vehicle to pass and then pulled into the path of a second vehicle operated by Christine A. Harbour, 45, Brodhead. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. Harbour's vehicle was towed from the scene. Makhamreh's vehicle was driven from the scene.
