Green County Sheriff

MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 5 a.m. Monday on Smock Valley Road near Ullom Road in Jordan township.

Deputies report a vehicle driven by Matthew D. Minder, 19, Browntown, left the road, hit an embankment and overturned. Minder sustained an injury.

He was cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle, failure to notify police of an accident, underage drinking, obstructing an officer and underage person transporting alcohol. David A. Minder, 44, Browntown, was cited for obstructing an officer.

Both were released pending court. Minder's vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 6:45 p.m. Monday on County F in Blanchard township. Deputies report James E. F. Strelow was operating a motorcycle when the back tire blew out.

The motorcycle went into a ditch and overturned. A passenger on the motorcycle, Verona L. Strelow, was thrown from the cycle and taken to the hospital. No further information was available.

• A vehicle driven by Nolan S. Heinberg, 19, Darlington, hit a deer at about 11:30 p.m. Monday on Wisconsin 81 in Lamont township. The vehicle was towed.
