MONROE - A deteriorating railroad tie caused minor damage to four vehicles that passed over it at a railroad crossing on Wisconsin 11/81 near County KS in Jefferson Township at about 8:25 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9. The drivers of the damaged vehicles were Susan R. Escandell, 65, Monroe; Joyce M. Kubly, 48, Monroe; Julie M. Miller, 55, Monroe; and Debra S. Muralt, 58, rural Monticello. The Escandell and Miller vehicles were towed. The Kubly and Muralt vehicles were driven from the scene. No injuries were reported. The Green County Highway Department made temporary repairs to the crossing.

• Michael K. Bloyer, 44, Monroe, was uninjured in a two-vehicle accident reported at 7:18 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at the Sweet Minihaha Campground in Decatur Township. Bloyer was backing a motor home into a camping lot when he collided with the front passenger quarter panel of an unoccupied parked vehicle, causing it moderate damage. Bloyer's vehicle sustained very minor damage.
