MONROE - Deputies were dispatched at 7:58 a.m. Sunday to the intersection of Alpine Road and Glenway Road in the Town of Brooklyn to investigate a report of damage to a stop sign post. Reports indicate that a vehicle had been traveling south on Glenway Road and attempted to turn west onto Alpine Road when the vehicle lost control and went off the south side of the road and struck the stop sign post and went into the ditch. The vehicle then drove back out of the ditch and on to Alpine Road and proceeded west on Alpine Road. Vehicle parts were left at the scene which indicated that the vehicle was silver in color and would have had right front quarter panel damage to it.
