MONROE - On Monday:

• Injuries were reported at 7:39 p.m. when deputies, Monticello First Response and Monroe EMS responded to a residence on Dividing Ridge Road in the Town of Washington for an ATV accident. Reports indicate that Robin J. Carter, 72, Monticello, was driving the ATV on private property. He said the accelerator became stuck, causing him to lose control. The vehicle then went down an embankment and hit some trees. Carter received injuries and was not wearing a helmet or eye protection. The ATV received minor damage.

• No injuries were reported at 9:04 p.m. when deputies responded to a vehicle accident in the N5100 block of County J, south of Sullivan Lane, in the Town of Washington. Thomas James Dahmen, 61, Monroe, was southbound on County J when a group of deer entered the roadway. Dahmen hit a deer, causing front-end damage. Dahmen and his passenger were uninjured. Dahmen's vehicle was driven from the scene.
