DARLINGTON - On April 22:

♦ Injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash at 3:18 p.m. in the W7000 block of Rothenbuehler Road in Monroe. Hayden J. Arneson, 18, Monroe, was traveling east when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle entered the south ditch, collided with several trees and then came to rest. Hayden was wearing his seatbelt and was not trapped or ejected. Hayden was transported via ambulance to a hospital for his injuries. Hayden's vehicle sustained disabling damage to all areas in the crash, both front airbags deployed, and was removed by a tow truck. Green County EMS and Monroe Fire also responded.

On April 24:

♦ No injuries were reported during a two-vehicle property damage crash at 7:49 a.m. at the intersection of Wittenwyler Road and Feldt Road in the Town of Mt. Pleasant. Cindy L. Binder, 62, Monticello, was northbound on Feldt Road and entered the intersection from the yield sign to conduct a left turn onto Wittenwyler Road (westbound). Binder did not observe an eastbound vehicle traveling on Wittenwyler Road operated by Maximus J. Chicker, 17, Monticello. Both drivers were unable to avoid the collision. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Binder and Chicker were the lone occupants of their respective vehicles. Binder was cited for failure to yield right-of-way and was released pending a non-mandatory court appearance.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - On April 17:

♦ No injuries were reported during a two-vehicle crash at 1:37 p.m. at the intersection of Wis. 69 at 14th Avenue.A Chevrolet Express van was turning left onto 14th Avenue when a heavy duty commercial truck rear-ended it. As a result of the investigation, Terry L. Walker, 68, Lodi, was cited for truck following to close. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

On April 20:

♦ No injuries were reported during a two-vehicle crash was reported at 10:28 a.m. in the 600 block of 2nd Avenue. A 2017 Buick Regal collided with a legally parked 2008 Ford Fusion when the operator was performing a parking maneuver.
