DARLINGTON - On April 19:
• Injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash in the W7400 block of Wis. 11 in the Town of Cadiz. Luciano Ocampo Salazar, 58, Beloit, was westbound when he lost control of his vehicle due to the ice-covered road. Ocampo Salazar's vehicle struck a road sign and then overturned. Salazar was transported by EMS to the Monroe ER. A passenger in the vehicle was identified as Juan Carlo Lopez, 37, Beloit. Carlo Lopez was injured in the crash and was transported by EMS to the Monroe ER. The air bags did not deploy in the vehicle. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. Ocampo Salazar was cited for operating without a valid license (2nd offense within three years), driving too fast for conditions and no proof of insurance. He was released pending court. Green County EMS, Monroe Fire Department and Browntown Fire Department also responded.
