Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Monday, April 15:

• Kenneth A. Kaderly, 43, Apple River, reported at 4 a.m. that he hit a deer on Wisconsin 23 in Willow Springs Township.

• Harlan P. Elzen, 59, Darlington, reported at 6:10 a.m. that he hit a deer on Wis. 23 in Darlington Township.

• Brian J. Saunders, 51, Warren, reported no injuries at 10:14 a.m. from a one-vehicle accident on Wis. 23 in Darlington Township. He was driving a semi northbound when an unidentified vehicle ahead of him hit a broken leaf spring in the road. The piece of leaf spring was thrown up at Saunder's cab, went through the windshield, hit the back of the cab, broke out the back window and struck the fuel tank, then bounced back into the cab and fell onto the floor. The semi was towed.



Green County Sheriff

• Brittany L. Jenson, 17, Darlington, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle accident on County F in Fayette Township at 3:21 a.m. Saturday, April 17. She was northbound when she reported she fell asleep momentarily, causing her vehicle to stray to the right and hit a bridge guardrail. The 1997 Ford Taurus she was driving was extensively damaged and towed. The bridge was undamaged.

• Sharisey Lee Ling, 16, Argyle, was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident in the W6700 block of County H in New Glarus Township at 3:37 p.m. Monday, April 15. Lee Ling was westbound when she swerved to avoid a group of raccoons in the road. The vehicle went into the ditch, hit a culvert and went airborne, then came to a rest on its wheels. It was severely damaged and towed.
