MONROE - Deputies responded to the N1600 block of Mt. Hope Road, Town of Spring Grove, for a one-truck crash on Monday, April 14. Investigation revealed a pickup truck was northbound on Mt. Hope Road when the truck left the roadway and hit a mailbox. The truck then continued into a ditch, traveled across a culvert and became stuck in the mud. The driver had fled the scene. The truck sustained moderate damage and was towed and impounded. Investigation is ongoing.
