MONROE - Janet A. Moote, 68, Apple River, Ill., was cited for failing to yield right of way from a stop sign following a two-vehicle collision at about 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of 8th Avenue and 6th Street. Moote struck the vehicle of Elizabeth R. Siedschlag, 18, Monroe, reports said. Siedchlag was cited for no proof of insurance. There was moderate damage to the vehicles and no injuries were reported.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - At 5:49 a.m., Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash with no injuries on County F, at County OK, in Decatur Township. Reports said Ryan W. Zurfluh, 37, Albany, was southbound on County F when he failed to negotiate a curve. Zurfluh struck the highway sign for County F/OK, continued south through the median, and struck an embankment. The vehicle sustained damage to the windshield and was towed. Zurfluh was wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured. Zurfluh was cited for inattentive driving and was released pending court.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Terry E. Edge, Sr., 50, Darlington reported hitting a deer on County G in the Town of Fayette. There was moderate damage to the vehicle and no injuries, according to reports.
