Timothy Osborne Jones, 68, of Albany passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at Meriter Hospital in Madison. Tim was born on August 7, 1948, the son of Arthur and Suzanne (Osborne) Jones in Monroe. He was a graduate of Albany High School. He was united in marriage to Victoria Conners on May 15, 1982.
Tim proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1969-1972, where he served as a medic in Germany. He was a longtime member of the American Legion Post 144 in Albany, where he also served as post Chaplain. He retired from General Motors after 32 dedicated years of service. Tim devoted his time to the community and enjoyed serving on the Board of Director's for the Albany Historical Society, Boy Scout Leader, EMT, and Municipal Judge. His faith was very important to him and he gave back by being active in Family Promise; he also sang with the Catholic Diocese Choir, even having performed at Carnegie Hall. In his spare time, Tim was a coin collector, gun enthusiast, golfer, and enjoyed going to the Casino with his wife, Vickie.
Tim is survived by his wife, Vickie; children, Amber (Bobby) Feibel and Derek (Tori) Jones; grandchildren, Zak Jones, and Reece, Ty and Alton Feibel; siblings, Phil (Toni) Jones, Jill (Larry) Hanson, Scott (Monica) Jones, and Bobbie Hulbert; a very special brother-in-law, Carl Hulbert; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 7, 2017 at the Albany Lion's Club with Tracey Clark officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 6th at the Albany Lion's Club from 4:00-7:00pm; continued visitation will be held Friday from 10:00am until the time of service. Burial will follow service at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Albany with Military Honors. The Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
